Special thanks to Tracy, John and Adrian for helping us to host and judge

Hi everyone,

The details for 2009 Mini Aussie Disc Dog Nationals are coming together.  Please see the premium listed below.

For those not familiar with disc dog events, we will be using Skyhoundz rules, and the event will be sanctioned as a Skyhoundz local.  Skyhoundz is one of the disc dog venues, just like in agility, there is CPE/NADAC, etc.  We used Skyhoundz rules for the 2008 mini aussie Nationals.

We got REALLY lucky with our judges.  Tracy Custer and John Casey have offered to judge at our event for free.  Tracy and John are both Purina employees.  Tracy does disc shows at Purina Farms daily, and actually lives in the little house on the Purina Farms property.  John Casey is also well know for his disc dog skills and knowledge and is the head trainer for Purina Farms.  For those of you that went to the specialty at Purina Farms two years ago, Tracy & Adrian did a disc dog demo with Bill.  Adrian is also helping out, in addition to some of the Missouri Disc Dog Club members.   So we are in GREAT hands for the event.

Angie Ogle has ordered the Skyhoundz “Deluxe Package” for the event for This includes 75 competition medals, 6 award medals, 2 embroidered Hyperflite bags, 4 embroidered Hyperflight caps, 5 packaged specialty discs, 50 certificates of participation, 50 scoresheets, 10 event posters, 1 procedure manual and publicity materials.  This will cover all of the prizes for the event.

Skyhoundz has an entry form/waiver that entrants can sign at the show on Friday.  The form is also used as the score sheet.

Skyhoundz locals do not allow entry “fees”, but we are asking for a donation to cover costs so we can offer disc dog in the future.  Folks have always made the donation in the past, so we should be fine to recover any costs.
